Laminar Flow Cabinet Vertical Type memberikan proteksi sampel karena udara yang dimurnikan mengalir melintasi zona kerja cabinet dalam aliran vertikal satu arah dan keluar dari main work chamber melalui seluruh bagian depan cabinet yang terbuka.
Sebagian besar Laminar Flow Cabinet Vertical Type juga memiliki perforasi pada dinding belakang zona kerja yang dirancang untuk menghilangkan turbulensi udara dan kemungkinan dead air corner di zona kerja.
